State of Latin American and Caribbean Cities Report
Prepared with the support of the Cities Alliance, this Report presents the current situation of the region’s urban world, including the demographic, economic, social, environmental, urban and institutional conditions in which cities are developing.
Prepared with the support of the Cities Alliance, this edition of UN-Habitat’s State of Latin American and Caribbean Cities Report presents the current situation of the region’s urban world, including the demographic, economic, social, environmental, urban and institutional conditions in which cities are developing. Urban transition, as traditionally conceived, is practically completed in almost all the countries of the region. However, the region’s cities remain the most unequal on the planet, and they must now prepare for a second urban transition to ensure a more equitable distribution of welfare and prosperity for all citizens.
