São Paulo: A Tale of Two Cities

This book addresses the serious challenges for good governance and urban leadership faced by São Paulo’s illegal settlements, which are often located in high risk areas prone to collapse, mudslides, and flood zones. It aims to provide policy makers, researchers and others interested in cities of the developing world with a wealth of information on how residents of South America’s largest city experience the challenges and opportunities of urban life.
