Over the past 50 years, precarious living conditions in cities around the world have boosted social mobilisation under the banner of "Right to the City."

This motto has proven to be a dual instrument -- enabling the emergence of new social utopias for a better future, and the development of alternative ways to develop cities and human settlements without discrimination while giving a particular voice to the excluded and marginalised.

This publication explores the concept of Right to the City and the struggles, experiences and mobilisation that have taken place over the past decades.
