Brussels, 3 May 2021 – Dr Greg Munro has assumed his functions as the new director of Cities Alliance. He was appointed by the Management Board in February this year.
Dr Munro, a South African national, brings a longstanding experience in international development, local governance, and urban sustainability. He has an academic background in Public Health and Management.
Prior to his new role, Dr Munro was the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum, one of the members of Cities Alliance.
We are very pleased to welcome Greg as the new Director of Cities Alliance. His record, commitment and understanding of the needs of the urban poor make him a perfect fit for the role. We look forward to working together.
