Fifth thematic session of the Live Learning series: Migration
How can local governments leverage the contribution of migrants and protect the most vulnerable face to COVID-19 and beyond.
The fifth thematic session of the Live Learning series will be devoted to Migration, with a particular insight to how local governments leverage the contribution of migrants and protect the most vulnerable face to COVID-19 and beyond.
The session will take place on Thursday, April 16th, between 15:00 and 17:00 CEST. It will be organized by UCLG and UN-Habitat in collaboration with Metropolis and the Mediterranean City-to-City Migration (MC2CM) project.
The organizers of the event are members of the Cities Alliance and specifically the Steering Committee of the CA Cities and Migration Programme. The objective of the Cities and Migration Programme is to enable partner cities, local governments, private sector, host communities and migrants to manage the complex and varied challenges arising from migration to and from secondary cities and, significantly, to identify and capitalize upon the opportunities presented by migration. The Steering Committee aims to ensure strategic coherence, coordination and shared learning around knowledge products, and effective dissemination and advocacy. It is instrumental in identifying new ideas, areas and partners for collaboration, ensuring coherence of effort for future programming, and engaging in global advocacy.
