C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group
C40 connects 96 of the world’s greatest cities to take bold climate action, leading the way towards a healthier and more sustainable future. Representing more than 700 million citizens and one quarter of the global economy, mayors of the C40 cities are committed to delivering on the most ambitious goals of the Paris Agreement at the local level, as well as to cleaning the air we breathe. C40 joined the Cities Alliance in 2018.

Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF)
As a designated Commonwealth organisation, CLGF works with national and local governments of the Commonwealth to support the development of democratic values and good local governance. It has some 200 members in most of the 53 Countries of the Commonwealth. CLGF joined the Cities Alliance in 2015.

ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability
ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability is the world’s leading network of over 1,000 cities, towns and regions committed to building a sustainable future. By helping its members to make their cities sustainable, low-carbon, ecomobile, resilient, biodiverse, resource-efficient, healthy and happy, with a green economy and smart infrastructure, ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability impacts over 20% of the global urban population. ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability joined Cities Alliance in 2015.

United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG)
United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) represents and defends the interests of local governments on the world stage, regardless of the size of the communities they serve. UCLG’s members include individual cities and national associations of local governments, which represent all the cities and local governments in a single country. Its membership includes over 1,000 cities across 95 countries and 112 Local Government Associations (LGAs). UCLG joined the Cities Alliance in 1999.

The World Association of Major Metropolises (Metropolis)
Metropolis is the global network of major cities and metropolitan areas. It serves as the hub and platform for metropolises to connect, share experiences, and mobilize on a wide range of local and global issues, in addition to being the focal point of worldwide experiences and expertise on metropolitan governance. Created in 1985, Metropolis currently represents the authorities of 137 great cities and metropolitan areas in Africa, the Americas & the Caribbean, Asia & the Pacific and Europe. It also manages the metropolitan section of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG). Metropolis joined Cities Alliance in 1999.
