[30 November 2010] -- The World Bank Institute (WBI) is offering the free Sustainable Urban Land Use Planning e-learning course to the public for the first time since the successful pilot course in June 2010.
Features of the course:
- 6 Modules, with case studies from around the world
- Functional and integrated understanding of urban land dynamics and how to effectively utilise policies and planning instruments to manage urban growth
- Designed for urban practitioners, policymakers, and city managers involved in land use planning in developing countries
- Approximately 6 weeks long, with a required dedication of 8 hours per week
- Delivered entirely online and self-directed, with constant support and tutoring from online facilitators
- Certificate of Satisfactory Completion from WBI
- Participation in the course is free
