The World Bank's Development Marketplace is hosting a global competition on ideas for climate adaptation at World Bank headquarters November 10-13.
At the event, 100 social entrepreneurs and development practitioners from 47 countries—representing the most innovative and high-potential project ideas on climate adaptation—will present their projects and compete for grants of up to $200,000.
The 100 finalists were selected through a rigorous assessment process. Their ideas focus on three main themes: resilience of indigenous peoples communities to climate risks, climate risk management with multiple benefits, and climate adaptation and disaster risk management.
The event is open to the public. For more information or to register, please visit the Development Marketplace website or contact the Development Marketplace team at dminfo@worldbank.org.
Development Marketplace is a competitive grant programme administered by the World Bank and supported by various partners that identifies and funds innovative, early-stage projects with high potential for development impact.
