Liberia’s first National Urban Forum is taking place in Monrovia on 24 and 25 June 2015. With more than 300 participants from Government ministries, city corporations, civil society organisations, development partners, private sector and universities, the Forum is a milestone in Liberia’s preparation to participate in the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development in Quito, Ecuador in 2016.
H.E. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia opened the Forum which has “Towards a National Urban Policy” as a theme.
