Strengthening Alliances to Support Migrants in the Context of Covid-19 in Mexico
This event aims to identify alliances and build a community of practice
Through a structured discussion, this event aims to identify alliances and build a community of practice that will support expanding the technical capacities of Mexican municipalities for the inclusion of migrants. Direct and coordinated actions for the exchange of knowledge and good practices will be discussed that may lead to the possibility of technical assistance. The session consists of several shorts presentations by the organizing group and a conversation with key actors in the region. Local governments, social organizations as well as representatives of Mexican institutions of reference on the subject will be participating to understand the main challenges faced by the transit and reception municipalities of the migrant population in Mexico during the pandemic.
