IC Forum - Cities: Pioneers in Tackling Climate Change?
Cities Alliance at the International Cooperation Forum, covered by Switzerland, under the theme Climate change – a challenge for sustainable development.
The International Cooperation Forum focuses on solution-oriented approaches and provides a platform for experts from the fields of international cooperation, science, politics, business and civil society, as well as dedicated young people from all over the world.
Under the topic "Climate change – a challenge for sustainable development", the Forum will elaborate on a variety of topics such as water security, public health, and sustainable energy.
Cities Alliance will be represented by Director Greg Munro at the plenary Cities: Pioneers in tackling climate change. The panel will discuss the role of cities both as drivers of climate change and bearers of solutions to tackle the challenge. Guiding questions: Are the best solutions born at the local rather than national level? And how can they be spread all over the world and inspire others?
The forum will be held in a hybrid format in Geneva on 31 March and 1 April.
