COP28: Exhibition Child- and Youth-led Actions for Sustainable Cities
Join Cities Alliance at COP28 for an exhibition exploring how children and youth globally experience the urban environment and contribute to building sustainable cities.
Childhood is predominantly experienced in cities. Children and youth must be involved in shaping their built environment.
This event brings together unites youth advocates, community engagement, and urban practitioners to discuss the impact of climate change on children and young people, especially in urban areas.
Highlighting the significance of involving young people in decision-making, the event aims to garner support for a child-friendly approach to urban planning, to create cities and infrastructure that align with the needs and aspirations of the younger generation.
The event is organised by Monash University Australia, in collaboration with the Global Buildings Performance Network (GBPN), UNICEF Australia, Save the Children, Global Alliance - Cities4Children, Monash Sustainable Development Institute, Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth, and Cities Alliance.
This event will take place at the Monash Pavilion in the Blue Zone. 12:00 pm GST / 9:00am CET.
