CBA15 - Community Based Adaptation Conference
Cities Alliance's grantees will join the 'CBA15: Local solutions inspiring global action' conference, organized by IIED.

The 15th International Conference on Community-based Adaptation to Climate Change (CBA15) brings together practitioners, grassroots representatives, local and national government planners, policymakers, and donors working at all levels and scales to discuss how we can drive ambition for a climate-resilient future. The conference is organized by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) a member of Cities Alliance.
The grant recipients of Cities Alliance's 2020 Call for Proposal 'Stronger Partnerships: Local Innovations for New Climate Realities' will participate in the conference.
Tree Adoption Uganda (TAU) will co-host the thematic workshop Innovating to improve the ownership, sustainability, and multi-actor nature of community-based adaptation, on 15 June, 9-11 am CEST. The session will focus on innovative solutions to mobilize communities and the private sector to enhance climate change adaptation. For more information on the project: Video | Report
Badabon Sangho (Bangladesh), Hope Raisers (Kenya), and Action for Women and Children Concern (Somalia), will also participate in the Marketplace space, a ‘virtual stall’ to tell the story of a tool or approach they have developed, the lessons and insights from their experience.
