Agenda and Presentations

The Public Policy Forum is an annual event held in conjunction with the annual meetings of the Cities Alliance Consultative Group. The Forum provides an opportunity for the range of actors who support city development to share lessons learned from experience as well as policy options and standards of practice in areas related to the Alliance's goal of improving the living conditions of the urban poor.

This year the Public Policy Forum focused on sustainable financing strategies for cities and financial services for the urban poor — issues which concern the public sector, private sector and international development partners alike.

The Forum drew a wide range of participants active in and outside of Brazil, including private financial institutions, international rating agencies, local authorities and representatives of their national and global organisations, multilateral and bilateral development banks and aid agencies, non-governmental organisations, real estate developers, building industry practitioners, and representatives of the urban poor and civil society.
