The Madinatouna II project supported the city of Tataouine in the co-creation of three inclusive, accessible, safe and climate resilient neighbourhood parks. The rehabilitation is part of the city's 2035 vision to ensure that all residents of Tataouine have access to quality green spaces within walking distance of their homes. The project was implemented by Cities Alliance with financial support from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

Following a series of dialogues with citizens facilitated by Cities Alliance, the municipality of Tatatouine in Tunisia has prioritised the rehabilitation of green spaces and neighborhood parks across the city. Their goal is to ensure all residents have access to green public spaces within walking distance of their homes. Beyond the needs of the community, well-designed urban green spaces also provide significant environmental and ecosystem benefits.
